11:15 hrs IST: Two dot balls with Rohit on 99. He is making us wait here.

10:52 hrs IST:Big shout for LBW!! Turned down by umpire Mick Martell. Rohit survives.
10:49 hrs IST:Close shave!! Rohit would have had his heart in his mouth. He chipped the ball towards long-off but connected probably better than he intended to. Luckily the ball lands short of the fielder. India are 166-2 after 30 overs.
10:45 hrs IST:Four!! Lucky for Rohit. Slashes at the ball but gets a big edge and the ball runs away to the third man boundary.

10:31 hrs IST:Interestingly, whenever Kohli has been run out while batting with Rohit, the latter has hit a double hundred. This has happened twice. Third time a charm? Let's hope for India's sake.
10:25 hrs IST:Out!! And just as we say that Kohli (59) has run himself out here. Great throw from Richardson from the fine-leg boundary. Kohli dives in but it's just not enough. There was a bit of hesitation before he took the second and that cost him dear. Ajinkya Rahane walks in! India are 134-2 after 24 overs.
10:24 hrs IST:Four!! Virat Kohli drives through the covers brilliantly. India are getting a move on here.

10:05 hrs IST:Fifty for Rohit Sharma! His 28th overall and third against Australia. India are 97-1 after 19 overs.
10:04 hrs IST: Richardson starts the proceedings after drinks.
10:02 hrs IST:Another stat: Kohli is now 42 runs away from 7,000 runs. He will be the quickest to reach the landmark. His Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villers currently holds the record.
09:59 hrs IST:Drinks break!India are 92-1 after 18 overs at a run-rate of 5.3. They will need to move things along soon. 309 wasn't enough in Perth and it won't be enough here. India need a score of 350 plus to put pressure on the Aussie batsmen.
09:58 hrs IST:Four!! This time its Kohli. He sweeps Maxwell and finds the boundary. There is some urgency being shown by both batsmen.
09:56 hrs IST:Four!! Rohit pulls Faulkner in front of the square leg boundary. Inches towards another 50.

09:40 hrs IST: Another edge from Kohli! And again it falls short of the slip fielder.

Shikhar Dhawan 1501

09:36 hrs IST: Is it time to bench Dhawan. The left-hander has managed just 141 runs in his last 7 innings. How long with the selectors persist?
09:34 hrs IST:Four!! He crunched that through the cover boundary. Absolutely no chance for the fielder. What a classy shot!
09:31 hrs IST: Just one run off that John Hastings over. India are 47-1 after 10 overs. Rohit is unbeaten on 29 while Kohli is on 11.

09:22 hrs IST: John Hastings starts off with a tidy over. India are 41-1 after 8 overs.
09:18 hrs IST: Kohli looks so good when he is pulling the ball. Arguably the best puller in the Indian team. Another over done and Rohit, Kohli tandem are moving along nicely. India are 38-1 in 7 overs.
09:14 hrs IST:Six!! Rohit goes for the pull but manages to get a top edge. The ball flies off the edge and over the fine-leg boundary. India are 34-1 after 6 overs.
09:13 hrs IST:Four!! Cracking shot from Rohit. Short and wide and he throws the kitchen sink at it. That was hit really really hard.
09:10 hrs IST:Close!! Kohli survives a scare. Paris gets the edge but the ball falls just short of Steven Smith at slips.
09:07 hrs IST: Rohit is looking good again. Wish he could play the same way in Tests as well. In 2015, Rohit averages above 50. India are 19-1 after 4 overs.
09:04 hrs IST:Four!! Rohit slashes and slashes hard and finds the square boundary.
09:03 hrs IST: Kohli off the mark with an uppish square drive. India are 11-1 after 3 overs.
09:00 hrs IST: Joel Paris has his first wicket in ODIs. A short and wide delivery is slashed at by Dhawan but only manages to edge it to wicketkeeper Mathew Wade. India are 9-1 after 2.2 overs. In walks Virat Kohli!
08:59 hrs IST:Wicket!! Shikhar Dhawan falls early. Again!! Joel Paris increases the left-hander's woes.
08:57 hrs IST:Maiden!! Kane Richardson bowls a maiden to Rohit. Cautious start by India.
08:52 hrs IST: It's astonishing how Rohit Sharma does in the ODIs while his Test form is just woeful. India are 5-0 after 1 over.
08:51 hrs IST: India open their account with a double from Rohit Sharma.
08:24 hrs IST: Some team news coming in. Ishant Sharma returns and Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the man to make way for him. For the Aussies - Hazlewood, Warner and Mitchell Marsh are out while Richardson, Hastings and Shaun Marsh start.
MS Dhoni Toss 1501

08:23 hrs IST: India have won the toss and elected to bat!!
08:05 hrs IST: The Brisbane wicket has pace and bounce. However, once the period with the new ball is done, batting becomes easier. India have good memories of this venue, having sealed the Commonwealth Bank tri-series title in 2008 at this venue.
08:00 hrs IST: A warm welcome to the second ODI between Australia and India from Brisbane. The hosts are in the driver's seat after chasing down 309 in the first ODI at Perth. However, India will be eager to bounce back in this match and they will be aiming to get their bowling sorted out.

India and Australia have the batting talent to score freely and Gabba should see another high-scoring contest,

Toss could become a big factor on Friday's day-night match between India and Australia. To score 309 runs and then lose a match is not a comforting feeling. MS Dhoni may be inclined to chase at the Gabba. Not because he has the batting depth but because there is forecast for rain in the evening. Duckworth Lewis always helps the side batting second.
Gabba should see another high-scoring contest. Both teams have the batting talent to score freely. After India lost in Perth, NDTV expert Sunil Gavaskar predicted that this five-match ODI series should be a batsmen's series and even a score of 350 looks vulnerable. That means the team with the better bowling skills will make the difference.
Dhoni must be mulling over his playing XI. Ashwin and Jadeja missed their 'Indian' venom in Perth. But the ex-Chennai Super Kings duo remains Dhoni's most trusted generals. To opt for a seaming all-rounder - Rishi Dhawan is therefore a good choice - may give the Indian side some extra muscle. Bhuvneshwar Kumar could lose out.
Australia look far more settled. With David Warner away on paternity duty, Shaun Marsh has a chance to show his batting skills. The solidity of skipper Steve Smith and George Bailey, the pair scored a match-winning 242 for the third wicket in Perth, is more than an assurance.
Aussie pace attack may be fortified. John Hastings is one of Australia's most lethal death bowlers. Whether he gets the nod ahead of Kane Richardson remains to be seen
